Collaboration between knowledge systems
It is becoming increasingly clear that no single knowledge system has the capacity to protect the world’s ecosystems alone. This understanding is becoming evident across different sectors as deliberate actions are taken to activate the hitherto under-explored opportunities for inter- knowledge collaboration in bio-cultural conservation. NCF is working in this space to promote collaboration between diverse knowledge systems for effective problem identification and decision- making. Further, NCF is negotiating tensions between diverse knowledge systems to create collaboration based on equity, respect and rights by elaborating the Multiple Evidence Base (MEB) approach, which promotes plural resource governance strategies for sustainability.
